Dr Sundee Denton-Chandler
BDS
Paediatric Dentist
GDC No: 302173
Sundee graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Liverpool in 2022, following an earlier degree in Biomedical Science from Newcastle University. Since qualifying, she has gained extensive experience across multiple dental specialties—starting with foundation and core training, and progressing to more complex roles within community dentistry, hospital settings, and private practice.
Her clinical work now focuses on paediatric dentistry, acute dental care, and the management of dental anxiety in both children and adults.
Sundee has worked as part of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team in South London, where she was involved in managing oral surgery, trauma cases, and patients with complex medical needs. She has also worked with the Community Dental Service at King’s College, treating children and adults with additional needs, severe dental anxiety, and challenging medical or social circumstances. This included delivering care under inhalation sedation, conducting domiciliary visits to homes and care facilities, and leading preventive programmes in schools and community settings.
Alongside her clinical work, Sundee is deeply committed to dental education and mentorship. She supervises undergraduate dental students at King’s College Hospital and serves as a Clinical Supervisor for Dental Foundation Training. She has also contributed to NHS England study days in paediatric dentistry and oral surgery.
With her strong focus on paediatrics, Sundee is experienced in managing children with complex medical, behavioural, and social needs. She routinely provides stainless steel crowns, restorative treatments, and extractions, and frequently uses inhalation sedation to care for anxious patients. She also collaborates closely with orthodontic teams to support dental development and treatment planning.
Passionate about prevention and community outreach, Sundee leads oral health education programmes in schools and local communities, working to improve access to care and promote long-term oral health. For anxious or vulnerable patients, she takes a patient-centred approach, adapting her communication and treatment style to ensure every individual receives compassionate and supportive care.
